Physical Appearance: Shoulder-length light brown hair and sparkling brown eyes. Naturally pretty, though she usually has a smudge or two of engine grease on her face. Her figure could best be described as 'curvy'. Dresses for working on engines (coveralls, usually) but with cutesy, girly shirts underneath.
Education: Attended the local primary school until she was about 12, but no formal schooling after that. Has an innate knowledge of engines or any other type of machinery.
Occupation: Mechanic
Significant Other: Simon Tam (post-BDM, of course)

Character Biography:
History: Lived on a small, backwater planet called Three Hills until the age of 17, when she was offered a position as the mechanic of a Firefly-class transport named Serenity. She has been a member of Serenity's crew for the past 4 years, and in that time has seen and learned a lot of things about the 'Verse- some good, some horrifiying. Through it all, though, she has retained her optimistic outlook on life. She also managed to finally clue a certain thick-headed Doctor into the fact that she was interested in him, and they've been together for the past year.
Personality in seven words or less: cheerful, optimistic, level-headed, looks for the good in everyone (10 words! sorry!)
How Others Perceive Your Character: cheerful (some to the point of wanting to smack her for it), a good friend, someone who needs to be looked after, a little.
Beliefs, Convictions, Morals: You take care of the people you love and the people who take care of you. People are basically good, so you should give everyone a chance, or twelve.
Reason(s) for Escaping to Canada: none, actually! She was pretty happy with her life on Serenity, and is not quite sure exactly how she ended up here!
Their DHAs [Dreams, Hopes, and Aspirations] for Canada: Kaylee makes the best of any situation, so this will be nothing different. She will find a job (doing some sort of mechanic work, obviously) and try to move on with her life if she can't return to Serenity. (Which includes moving past Simon, if needed- she loves him, yes, but she's not about to become celibate just because he's not around!!)
